tuesday tales

Good morning Tuesday...well almost afternoon.

Good afternoon Tuesday

This week is Red Ribbon Week at the kids school and in all honestly I am not completely on board with this week. For our family it's all about introducing illegal drug use to my 6th grader who honestly has no idea about that. Yesterday he freaked out when he saw that Walgreens is a drug store. Not sure if this is our fault as parents for completely dropping the ball but I am a little bit over society forcing our children to grow up. Nonetheless to promote not using drugs everyday is a theme day where the kids get to dress up. I seriously cannot understand how all this goes together but again...maybe it's just me.

Anywayyyyyyy today was Nerd Day so pretty much Aiden dressed up as himself and brother combined.

Cameron and I thought this was quite hilarious and even more hilarious is that neither of the boys realized it 😉

After dropping off the kids I went to get my car washed and then tried out our local grocery store's curbside service. Annnnd I think I likey. Yesterday I ordered the things I need, selected a time slot and then today pulled up and voila, my groceries came out. It was then that I decided to come home, plan my Thanksgiving menu, make that grocery list and go ahead and order the groceries for pickup the week of Thanksgiving. Just in case the time slots go fast I want to be prepared.

Speaking of Thanksgiving...I really really REALLY want to put up my Christmas tree before. It's taking everything I have not to put it up right now. Yesterday to tame my desires I decorated the mantle for Fall.

I'm not going to lie...I still want to put up the tree.

  1. New reader here! I found you through My Sunday Best. I feel kind of the same about Red Ribbon Week. I don't know if this was part of it or not but I remember my first grader mentioning alcohol and how they'd been talking about it at school. Just seemed bizarre to me. Why does he need to be concerning himself with that in first grade?

    Love your blog!

    1. Hi Rachael, thanks for stopping by!
I have say I am glad our school at least waits until middle school to start red ribbon week. I mean why do they need to hear all that stuff in 1st grade?! Crazy!
