ireland...here we come!

At the beginning of April we found out Cameron qualified for a trip to Ireland this summer. To say that I was surprised would be an understatement. I seriously cannot believe that we are going to Europe again...for free again...it's all kind of amazing!

I'm very excited! This trip is shorter then Rome so I am doing my best to find the must sees for us. The company we are traveling with have a few things on the itinerary like visiting the Guinness Beer Factory, visiting a fishing town on the coast and Cameron getting play golf at a famous golf course one morning. The one thing I am most looking forward too is the free day we have in Dublin. I have been scouring Pinterest on must sees in Dublin. Of course we will visit St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Other then that I am still making our list of to do's. The weather is rainy and the temp stays in the 60's. That my friends, is like winter in Texas πŸ˜‰ We leave in a week and 2 days and I still have SO much to get done before the trip! Thankfully my amazing parents are watching the kids for us again so I'm not worried too much about leaving them. And like I said it's a shorter trip so it shouldn't be too hard for my parents.

kirchoff sunday best

"I do not pray for the world but for the ones you have given me,
because they are yours, and everything of mine is yours
and everything of yours is mine,
and I have been glorified in them.
And now I will no longer be in the world,
but they are in the world, while I am coming to you."
John 17:1-11

Don't ask me about Asher...πŸ˜‚

Happy Ascension Sunday

We went to church yesterday evening because the boys were serving, then came home to a brikset Cam had been cooking all day. I decided to go out to my garden and picked some veggies for one of our sides. I absolutely love my garden this year! It's producing so many delicious things and many dinners at our house are becoming "farm to table." πŸ˜‰

Happy Sunday!

last day of school!!!!

Yesterday was the

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
and it couldn't have come soon enough! We were all so ready for summer break πŸŒˆπŸŒ…

Aiden will be going into 6th grade next year which means bye bye to the primary/elementary years. Y'all TIME HAS FLOWN BY. I can remember when he was in Kinder looking at the 5th graders thinking, man that's so far away. And here we are...

To celebrate the big milestone there was a big 5th grade graduation party yesterday evening. The party was great and Aiden had the best time!
I just love the school the boys are at and think it's so cool that he's been with most of these kids (give or take) since Kinder. It's going to be fun to continue to watch them all grow together 😊

And of course to keep the tradition alive, I surprised the kids with a few summer goodies when they got home from school.

Here's to a great SUMMER!

11 years of mother's days

This year not only did I celebrate my 11th Mother's Day but also my birthday. I have to say I was a little bit more excited to celebrate Mother's Day then my birthday 😏

As I've said before, being a mother is all I have ever wanted in life. This past year and this stage of motherhood has been the best yet! Milly is at a great age where she no longer needs me for every.single.little.thing.

I thought I would miss having a baby/toddler but surprising I don't. I think the older I get the less attached I am to the baby stage. I'm really enjoying and taking in every moment with these 3.

Summer is only a few days away for us and I cannot wait to see what it has in store! Every year keeps getting better and I don't see the next one as being any different 😊

asher is 10

It is official...we now have 2 kids in the double digits in our home. Man does that feel weird!

Asher turned 10 May 5th and in true Asher fashion he was beyond thrilled for his birthday! This guy literally starts planning his birthday in January πŸ˜‰

Dear Asher,
You have been (and probably will always be) my biggest surprise in my life. When I found out I was pregnant with you, I was mind blown! However, God knew exactly what he was doing when he gave you to us. You were the perfect piece in our puzzle. Watching you and Aiden grow side by side as best friends and supporters has been one of my greatest pleasures in life. My favorite thing about you is how caring you are. Everyone who meets you loves you! You are kind, always giving, always respectful of those around you. You are so determined and driven! I absolutely love watching you play baseball and will always be your biggest fan. I know you are going to do something amazing in your life and I feel so lucky to have a front row seat. Never ever EVER give up on your big dreams and always remember how much our family loves you,
Love, Mom

Cameron made one of Asher's dreams come true by painting a baseball field in the backyard, complete with a fence and foul poles. Asher had no idea and when he came home from school he freaked out!

We even had a special visitor at the party...baby Avery!

Baseball, basketball and swimming...what more could a group of boys ask for?!

And Little Miss had to try out her new scooter.

Asher I hope year 10 is FANTASTIC!

90 years old

Last weekend Aiden, Milly and I headed down to Houston to celebrate my great uncle turning 90 years old! Cameron and Asher had an important baseball game they couldn't miss so I was on my own with 2 kiddos. Well...not really on my own considering practically my entire family was there πŸ˜‰ We had a great time just the 3 of us. We stopped twice on the way down just to shop at gas stations and once we got to the room we just laid in bed and watched TV. It was nice and calm and there were no arguments. However we did greatly miss our other 2 guys.

We looked pretty good in our matching outfits

And we had tons of fun playing and seeing cousins that we hadn't seen in awhile.

My dates were the cutest of all 😊

It was fun celebrating a man who has lived a very full life and still going strong!

One of my favorite parts was seeing old pictures of my Grandma (on left)

I had never seen any pictures from when she was a little girl before. It was so special to me. We stayed up super late dancing and visiting and had the best time. The next morning we woke up, spent some more time with family and then just the 3 of us went to visit my other grandparent's graves.

They were dirty so Aiden and I did our best to clean them up and then Milly found some fake flowers that had fallen off someone else's grave and put them by Grandma's. I was smiling the whole time because I knew she would have gotten the biggest kick out of Milly doing that πŸ˜‰ I miss her very much and sometime feel sad that she never got to meet Milly. They would have gotten along so well. Then I remember that they did meet before we even met Milly girl.

After we left the cemetery I took Aiden to "the best Pokemon store in Houston" and then off to home we were. The drive was great, the kids were great and the whole weekend was tons of fun. I only hope one day my family is throwing me a 90th birthday party. Only very few are that lucky 😊
