{diy decor} master bath redo

As I said before, one of my goals this year is to go through each room in the house and make it perfect. First stop was the master bathroom.
This room pretty much never had anything done to it when we moved in except throw a few rugs on the floor ;)
It was plain plain plain! And I was so tired of it especially since this is one of my favorite rooms in the house design wise. I just love the cabinets, marble counter tops and the tile and glass accent tile. The problem though, was I just couldn't figure out what I wanted to put in here. And then one day walking through Pier 1 it all came together :)

Master Bath Redo
I walked into Pier 1 one day on a whim and found this beautiful gray metal flower on clearance for $40!
I couldn't believe it! I just knew that it would fit in this space perfectly. After that, everything fell into place.
Flowers and bud vase from World Market

I knew that I wanted to keep the counters pretty clean but wanted something pretty on them. This is the bud vase I used on my Thanksgiving table and found the purple flowers at World Market as well. I LOVE purple and knew that I could get away with a little of it in this room over any other room in the house ;)

Hand towels from World Market
This shelf and candles were a set I picked on clearance at Target way before Christmas. It was a whopping $10! The "C" and "J" are from Michaels, frame World Market and "love like crazy" sign from TJMAxx.

Stems and vase use to grace my mantle but fit perfectly in this little corner of my bathtub. Both from Target
Basket is from Junky Monkey in Waco...a little antique picked up on my day trip to Waco with the kids.
I just love how this room came together. It's the perfect mix of modern meets old.
Square tile also picked up at Junky Monkey in Waco. When I bought it I knew I was going to incorporate it into the bathroom somehow.

Now this space is perfect and just what I always wanted it to look like. I am really glad that I waited for the perfect piece to bring this design together instead of rushing into something.

Happy FriYAY!
